Although all COVID-19 requirements have been removed, recommendations remain, including isolating for 5 days.

Please continue to keep children home if they have COVID-19 symptoms. Isolation is still the main tool to manage the spread of the virus. It is the most effective way to keep case numbers low in our school.

Please continue to notify the school if your child has COVID-19 to help with our management and decision making.

The Ministry of Education no longer strongly encourages mask wearing in school settings and they are not required on public or school transport. As the MoE guidelines do not require mask wearing by students, we encourage you to discuss at home how you will respond if there is COVID-19 in your household.

We will support any students who wear a mask at school and staff may also choose to wear a mask if they have identified household or close contacts in their class.

For current information about the COVID-19 Protection Framework, please refer to the NZ Government Unite Against Covid-19 website.

Vaccination is still the number one preventative measure against COVID-19 infection and severity. These vaccinations are available free of charge for everyone in NZ aged 5yrs and over. bookmyvaccine.covid19.health.nz

There is some helpful information available to support you on the Unite Against COVID-19 website including How to book a vaccine for your five – 11 year old and some great videos on the Kids Health page that can support you to talk to your tamariki about the COVID-19 vaccine.
